Senior Manager of Talent Management (Contract)

Department: Human Resources

Status: Contract

The Senior Manager of Talent Management provides professional-level support in the areas of Talent Management and Learning & Development.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Talent Management
• Drive the development and execution of all talent processes including talent reviews, succession planning, performance calibrations, Individual Development Plans (IDP), and leadership programs

• Assist with the development of learning strategies, training, and collateral materials that address the needs of the organization

• Develop and implement measurement strategies to track and assess the impact and completion of talent and learning programs

• Manage external vendor relationships to scale key deliverables; and provide direction and feedback for learning and talent processes

• Develop and communicate metrics via a quarterly Talent Management Dashboard

• Support ad hoc programs and projects as needed

Learning and Development
• Conduct organizational needs assessments to recommend learning and development solutions

• Work collaboratively with HRBPs and business leaders to ensure the success of learning & development programs

• Source training solutions for key learning deliverables and update the leadership manual

• Coordinate training activities (e.g., location, room layout, etc.)

• Analyze and assess learning programs for maximum learning effectiveness

• Present/facilitate training and L&D content to employees on a variety of HR topics

• Develop engaging presentations and reports in a visually appealing format utilizing PowerPoint and Excel

• Drive the roll-out of organizational competencies and PBS core values

• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Requirements for success:
• Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Human Resources or related field

• Excellent presentation/training delivery preferred

• Instructional Design Experience a plus

• Experience with Learning Management System, preferred

• Technologically savvy; with comfort learning independently and using new technologies

• Ability to function in a fast-paced dynamic environment and interact with employees at all levels

• Ability to handle confidential matters tactfully

• Accurately applies professional technical knowledge, skills, expertise, and judgment to achieve excellent customer service; demonstrates a strong customer-service orientation in all interactions

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Works independently, makes sound decisions, and exercises good judgment

• Communicates effectively and proactively the status of projects to include barriers and possible solutions

• Performs all work in a detailed manner

• Excellent organizational and project management skills

• Experience in stakeholder management and working with external vendors

• Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Excel)

• Excellent multi-tasking, organization, and time-management skillset

• Prefer local candidates to Greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area
