Job Description
The Business Analyst I, Digital Asset Management is responsible for helping business partners implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a product, project or program, and communicating them clearly to teams. The Business Analyst provides general analytical support across the entire organization, and therefore should understand key business processes, key business drivers, and the short and long-term direction and related technologies. During development, they deal with issues and questions as well as provides support in implementing required changes.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Aligns technology solutions with business strategies comprised of low to moderately complex business processes.
• Establishes a strong, positive relationship with business units and Product Managers to identify and document business requirements.
• Assists in prioritizing competing business line demands.
• Involves in Creation and onboarding and training artifacts.
• Assists with end-user management and user insights reports
• Monitor and manage usage rights and licensing agreements for digital assets.
• Assists with identification and scoping of integrations with other platforms to enable expansion to other business units.
• Provides business partners with an accurate and basic view of challenges to end-user buy-in under the guidance of Product Managers.
• Conduct regular audits to confirm the integrity and quality of metadata, findability, and performance.
• Develop auto-still image extraction and metadata harvesting during ingest process workflow.
• Develops training materials or process documentation; Supports and trains staff and business partners
• Investigates, resolves, and escalates problems and serves as escalation point for others.
• Assists in coordinating communications regarding new and revised policies and standards.
Requirements for success:
• 3 - 4 years' related experience, including:
• Experience in requirements gathering process for IT systems
• Experience in data migration, integration and governance
• Experience developing support materials, including SOPs and Help Guides
• Experience leading joint application sessions
• Experience with tracking risks and changes
• Experience in business operations, systems requirements and IT processes and technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in technology-related field
• A professional with experience in Media or Open text is preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Strong understanding of user experience and risk management best practices
• Skilled in business process engineering and information governance
• Demonstrated knowledge of at least one software development methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing
• Possess a ''can-do'' style and a demonstrated interest in understanding the business
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and respond to emergency situations effectively
• Strong leadership skills coupled with a drive to innovate
• Ability to work well both independently and in team, establishing and maintaining cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility
• Ability to function and to adapt to new goals, practices, etc. within a dynamic work environment
• Proactively stays current in requisite skills within job scope, and incorporates knowledge and other feedback into work
