By joining us as Video and Graphics Editor, you are part of a team of creative professionals, collaborating to create a polished product. You will help develop personnel, projects, and individual skills that propel the team into the future. For the role you need to possess an advanced ability for non-linear video editing in a fast-paced sports environment and be an effective collaborator. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of edit workflow, software and facility layout in assigned areas to combine elements to tell a story.

In this role you will:
• Collaborate within various edit areas to help support the creative process, while editing at an advanced creative level to aid in delivering content across all Thunder media platforms. TV/Radio, In-arena, website, Bally Sports Oklahoma and Social Media.
• Possess strong editing skills, effective communication, and ability to perform well under pressure, high demand, strict timelines and/or live conditions with little supervision.
• Must have the skill and attitude to train less experienced editors on edit workflows and software
• Collaborate with other departments and corporate entities to help create cross-functional video production opportunities supporting community impact storytelling.
• Keep updated on knowledge of industry technology and help establish new workflows to create accurate and effective results on specific or future assignments
• Create static graphics and animations used in various features for all digital platforms.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the role:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of editing or related experience
• Resume Reel of previous work experience required
• Advanced understanding of non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere, Avid, 3D Motion, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Must be well-versed in photography styles and techniques while being an expert editor.
• Understanding of video encoding, codecs and formatting projects for appropriate channels.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NBA Basketball
• Skilled in media transfer workflows (ingest/publish/export)
• Excellent oral communication skills and proven ability to work well in a team environment
• Work quickly and accurately under pressure, understanding the impact of timing on the needs of others

Additional details:

Employees will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered. Primary work location will be the Oklahoma City Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City and work schedule may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Physical requirements of the job may include lifting 50 pounds, working outdoor events in adverse weather conditions, or working games in an environment with high noise levels. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director, Broadcast Production.
