Overview

Nickelodeon is looking for a Vice President, Media Strategy & Planning! This VP will be responsible for developing the strategy, campaign construct, optimization and reporting for the Nickelodeon brand and content campaigns, across platforms. This role will lead the audience and full funnel strategy in partnership with brand & program marketing leads and coordinate the execution and delivery of media campaigns across all channels and platforms. As a key leader in the Nickelodeon marketing team, this Vice President will manage external agency relationships as well as internal buying resources. Collaboration with functional partners such as research, marketing analytics, promo scheduling, project management social and creative will be critical to the success of this role.

Responsibilities
• Develop data-driven strategies along with corresponding measurement roadmaps
• Direct integrated media strategies across TV (linear, CTV), Digital, SVOD, Social, OOH, Print and Audio channels, as well as buying for events, music initiatives, podcasts, games, and more
• Own and manage 3rd party media agency relationships
• Lead all aspects of cross-channel budget management and allocations
• Build efficient and effective full funnel media plans, with a future forward approach
• Balance media metrics with creative sensibilities leading to innovative, break-through campaigns
• Ensure timely launch of campaigns, campaign performance optimization, troubleshooting, and reporting
• Analyze campaign data and reports to connect creative work to media performance
• Partner with on-channel and cross company media planning teams to discuss strategy and ensure alignment in planning
• Lead, mentor and grow an internal media and marketing analytics team

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in strategy and planning of large media campaigns
• 5+ years in leadership and development, directly leading, managing and inspiring teams
• Expert knowledge of Reach and Frequency, GRP's, Duplication and standard media planning metrics
• Working knowledge of 3rd party software: specifically, DoubleClick, PRISMA, MRI and the Nielsen suite

Additional Qualifications
• Creative problem solver who can bring fresh ideas to the table
• Experience at an ad-supported TV Network a plus; Experience working on/with brands targeting kids a plus
• Collaborative; Comfortable leading in a matrix-ed organization
• Understands the big picture as it relates to functional role/ department
• Executive presence; able to represent the team at higher levels of the organization
• Experience in crafting or redesigning processes/systems
• Proven understanding of online media planning, implementation and optimization, across various digital channels and tactics, including paid social, programmatic, video, and rich media
• An ability to marry creative thinking within media environments
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cross departmental collaboration
• Strong communication skills
• Detail and deadline oriented, with great time-management and change-management skills
• Self-starter, inventive, able to work well under pressure and who can prioritize projects
• Proven experience engaging, managing and building relationships with media vendors and partners
