Job Description
-On air hosting, video recording and photography experience a plus for station projects, including local feature packages, tease bumpers, sales presentations, promotional spots and programming.
-Must be able to obtain and verify factual information regarding stories through interview, observation and research.
-Works with multiple leadership levels at and outside the station to build station brand sponsored and unsponsored content.
-Organizes material and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards of specialized programming.
-Shoots video experience a plus to illustrate stories.
-Periodically appears on television content when conducting taped interview
-Writes and produces stories for multiple media platforms; writes and posts content to the web.
-Flexible Scheduling
-May host at off-site shoots.
-Assists producer in preparing show.
-Assists online staff in preparing for multi-media stories
-Writes, captures visual content, edits and produces for multiple platforms on deadline
-Computer literacy required
Requirements & Skills:
-Must be highly creative.
-Strong team collaboration skills.
-Effective communicator; Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills.
-Must be able to work well under pressure and daily deadlines.
-Ability to create quality work on tight timeframes and deadlines.
-Proficient at posting content to various websites.
-Highly self-motivated.
-Able to work independently
-Able to work effectively with sales sponsored clients.
-Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
-1-2 years marketing experience a plus.
