The Senior Manager, Strategic Ticket Sales and Tourism will develop, negotiate, promote, and assist in the sale of New York Yankees game tickets and the promotion of Yankee Stadium (and the New York Yankees) as an international visitor destination. Although the position will be based out of Yankee Stadium in New York City, it will require significant travel to domestic and international travel/tourism trade shows throughout the year.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute tourism-focused sales efforts and FIT sales initiatives as well as develop opportunities to target and grow new strategic business segments in the travel and tourism industry
• Manage, negotiate and expand local partnerships and ensure a strong travel trade presence that drives Yankees ticket revenue including, but not limited to, Tour Operators, OTA channels, RTOs, other ticket sales partners/channels, concierge/hotel partners and other tourism outlets
• Identify, coordinate, schedule and attend international and domestic trade shows as a New York Yankees' representative, and execute related follow-up, including distributing leads to the appropriate Yankees' personnel
• Manage and maintain relationships with Broadway Inbound and other companies that specialize in FIT sales and tourism-related sales channels and identify potential new contractual partners
• Create and implement a training program and FAMs for OTAs, RTOs, DMCs, etc., to provide them the tools and knowledge to sell New York Yankees game tickets
• Work collaboratively with industry colleagues (e.g., MLB, NYC and Company, etc.)
• Develop and maintain relationships and cooperative activation initiatives with other destination marketing organizations and local, state, national and international travel trade organizations to promote the New York Yankees and New York Yankees game tickets. Partner with other New York DMOs for marketing co-ops, itinerary development and FAMs for assigned markets
• Create, maintain, and present on-going reports of sales trends and opportunities, both internally and industry-wide
• Host current and prospective customers at New York Yankees home games
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 4-6 years in the ticketing, live event/entertainment or attraction industries
• Proven track record of working with the travel trade, including domestic and international Tour Operators, Receptive Operators and Travel Agents is highly desirable, along with previous experience and/or relationships in the Convention and Visitors Bureau space
• Ability and willingness to travel to both domestic and international travel/tourism-related trade shows on a frequent basis, as well as to attend local tourism conferences and events in the tri-state area
• Bachelor's Degree is required
• Demonstrated excellence in sales and customer service
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational and inter-personal skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required and Microsoft CRM and Ticketmaster knowledge preferred. Knowledge of other third-party tourism-related ticketing sales systems and interfaces/APIs (e.g. ingresso, redeam, prioticket, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to multi-task and function at a high level in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of the history of the New York Yankees and of Major League Baseball is a plus
• Foreign language skills are a plus
