Creates content about the people and stories behind Netflix TV shows and movies.

You'll be responsible for creating stories that meet a range of audience needs, from planned and reactive news to features, covers stories, and recaps. This role will work across Netflix titles to develop story pitches and execute those ideas to successfully generate and extend the conversation about our movies and TV shows among Netflix fans. A successful candidate will ensure stories adhere to editorial and Netflix guidelines and watchouts, and understand how to balance editorial judgment while representing the Netflix brand. It is essential for this role to frame stories that meet the mission of Tudum to be the headquarters of exclusive, insider access. You'll be responsible for ensuring deadlines are met and stories are complete, including drafting headlines and SEO, requesting and embedding clips, and other necessary content.

Responsibilities
• Conceptualizing and pitching a broad range of story ideas around Netflix titles, talent, and moments.
• Authoring and building editorial content based on assignments.
• Building compelling editorial stories through research and existing materials.
• Create key utility content including but not limited to synopsis, recaps, character biographies, and summaries.
• Work in Netflix tools to select images and clips to embed in stories.
• Actively seeking feedback and edits from peers and editors to strengthen stories
• Create conversation and deepen engagement around Netflix titles and talent.
• Use analytics tools to make data-informed decisions about coverage.
• Work with visual teams to develop creative ideas.
• Leads by example and reflects Netflix cultural values, advancing an environment of inclusion & excellence.

Requirements
• 5-7 years of editorial experience.
• Creative thinker who thinks beyond the obvious to tell engaging stories that capture fans' attention.
• Solid judgment to ensure stories align with Tudum's editorial mission.
• Comfortable working across short and mid-form content across a variety of deadlines.
• Understanding of SEO optimization.
• Collaborative and curious partner to the editorial and cross-functional team.
• Familiarity with CMS and planning tools Ability to find and use google search insights to inform coverage
• Passionate about entertainment and pop culture.
