The Product Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is deeply embedded within the Product team at Netflix. We are looking for a well-rounded Manager that will be an insightful financial leader to the Engineering team within Product at Netflix. Netflix engineers ship thousands of lines of code every day. Their work translates into new product features, content delivery, and our service algorithms. Engineering spans multiple teams at Netflix focused on creating, building, testing, deploying, streaming, and monitoring the Netflix tech stack and building tools and applications that enable efficiency and scale within our internal studios and games businesses.

The Engineering FP&A Manager will be a trusted business partner to the Engineering organization operating with a lens of scalability at all times. We are looking for a well-rounded people leader who will manage one associate to oversee all consolidated engineering financial reporting, planning, and analysis and directly support the financial responsibilities of the Client User Experience Engineering Team. Our global engineering teams will rely on the financial expertise of this candidate to determine the most optimal solutions using cost-benefit analysis, and anticipate future cost management challenges, all while driving cost optimization through rigorous financial analysis. This role will sit in our Los Gatos offices.

The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter with tremendous skills in working and communicating with cross-functional partners and someone who enjoys problem-solving and building solutions. He/She/They will be able to manage complex work streams that involve multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships across teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Providing financial leadership, P&L management, and strategic support for the Engineering teams
• Support monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range financial planning, analysis, & reporting processes for Engineering
• Think through current and future resource allocations to drive optimal results
• Drive efficiencies in our processes thru standardization and automation of dashboards, reports, & templates, as well as calendar alignment around key dates & deadline
• Ability to influence through established relationships, data, and macro business factors at the Director level and up, including VPs
• Develop high-impact frameworks, analyses, or metrics to improve decision-making in their area of the business
• Run effective meetings to drive outcomes (e.g., draft agendas, engage relevant partners, runs meetings and discussions)
• Able to apply analysis/problems solved in one area of responsibility to other areas within their responsibility; proactively engages with those teams to share best practices

Qualifications and Abilities
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of current financial systems and processes, including Workday, Anaplan, Essbase, Tableau, and other headcount planning tools.
• Help drive financial reporting solutions via collaboration with business partners, Finance Technology, or Data Science & Engineering team
• Demonstrate an ability to prioritize your workload and, as a people leader, show reliable judgment in helping the team understand what they should and should not be working on
• Bring greater visibility to long and short-term financial forecasts for our cross-functional business areas, including Games, Studio Product Innovation, Animation Technology, and other areas of strategic innovation within Engineering
• Create insightful presentations to summarize analyses and facilitate decision-making for leadership
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and be able to effectively communicate tracking to forecasts and insights into expense trends with recommendations on the next steps

Experiences
• Must have 8+ years of experience in a highly analytical environment with relevant experience in a corporate finance setting.
• Bachelor's degree required
• Expertise in scenario/sensitivity analysis, and ROI, NPV, and IRR analysis
• Experience working with relational databases, data, and reports; Workday, SQL, Tableau, and Anaplan knowledge a plus
• Extremely proficient with MS Excel or G-Sheets and financial modeling; shares a passion for analytics and leveraging information systems to drive insight and distill complexity to build influence.
• Highly motivated to develop a direct team with a lens of succession planning to ensure optimal performance within the team on a long-term basis
• Solid understanding of accounting rules and regulations
