Job Description
Responsibilities
The Web Producer is responsible for the successful creation, implementation and execution of Deportes Telemundo's brand for all digital platforms. The role of the producer is to create and arrange all editorial content for desktop, mobile and applications. Candidates must demonstrate a solid knowledge of sports, tailored to the US Hispanic audience, with an emphasis in soccer and boxing; meet with the Director, Digital sports and Managing Editor to review production schedule, as well coordinate with fellow producers to plan out cross-platform content and projects.

In addition, Web Producer must work closely with Telemundo Digital Sales and Production teams to implement new concepts and branded show extensions online. This includes managing the inventory of the page, building out new projects and generating additional content.

We seek candidates comfortable handling everything, from basic text and photo updates, to cutting-edge interactive projects as needed. Candidates should be curious and eager to develop and test new ideas for multiple digital platforms. Additionally the Web Producer must have extensive field production skills and a clear understanding of TV Production principals. The Web Producer will report to the Director, Digital Sports.

Qualifications/Requirements
Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting or Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience required.
• Fluent bilingual Spanish written and verbal communication skills are essential. English written and verbal skills are also preferred.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office programs.
• Experienced on Content Management Systems for all distribution platforms.
• Experience producing and editing relevant digital content including articles, photo galleries and videos.
• Knowledge of latest digital technologies, innovations and tendencies.
• Social Media savvy, experienced on second screen experiences and up to date with latest apps and trends.
• Knowledge of the Hispanic sport audience habits: the sports and events they watch, the teams and athletes they follow. TV ENG knowledge (pre & post production phases).
• Must be able to work a non-conventional work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, late-breaking news and hurricane emergencies.
• Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
• Must be willing to travel as needed, including on short notice. Must have valid passport.
• Ability to interact effectively with all sports operations personnel and specific department personnel who can impact the daily operations of the web producer.
• Candidate must demonstrate organizational skills; able to work effectively in a high pressure environment without direct supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions from numerous sources as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Must be able to represent the department and company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
• Major in Journalism, Communications or Multimedia preferred
• Self-starter and proactive in issue identification and resolution
• Ability to effectively use strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience covering big sporting events is a plus
