The Position

NBCUniversal's Advertising Platforms & Operations team is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal's full advertising technology suite. The division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal's $8B annual advertising business.

The Business Intelligence team within Advertising Platforms & Operations (AP&O) defines and manages products that enable NBCUniversal Advertising Sales & Partnerships with actionable insights that drive business performance and fosters a culture of data-driven decision-making. We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to define and execute on a comprehensive roadmap supporting our strategic business customers across Advertising Sales & Partnerships, focusing on strategic and executive-level information experiences. This person will learn how data can inform our customers' workflows, apply best-in-class technology solutions to enable access to data, drive efficiencies in business processes, facilitate proactive decision-making, and ensure a trusted and quality data experience. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative individual who is passionate about media and advertising innovation, cares about customers, and understands the value of high-quality customer.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product, Strategic Insights, the person in this role will:
• Build and cultivate professional relationships with business customers to understand their information-based needs and priorities
• Hold a deep compassion for user experience and the user journey
• Mentor and collaborate with other product managers to define business intelligence products to meet business customer needs and priorities
• Gather and synthesize detailed product requirements that align to strategic product roadmaps for review and approval from business customers
• Advocate for business customer needs with product and engineering partners, ensuring products and their features are clearly understood and documented
• Manage product requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle and engage business customers to confirm, clarify and/or validate, when appropriate
• Influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in order to deliver premium solutions within an always-changing environment.
• Create and maintain documentation related to in-house applications including training manuals
• Engage customers for acceptance testing, product demonstrations, and go-to-market activities (e.g., product training, etc.)

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher in at least one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, Information Systems, Business Management, OR equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a product management role, specifically for business intelligence and/or analytics projects and initiatives
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Hands on experience working with UX applications such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Experience with product management tools (e.g., Roadmunk, Aha, etc.)
• Experience with work management and documentation tools, preferably Jira and Confluence
• Working knowledge of various business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy, Domo, Looker, etc.
• Strong written documentation and presentation skills, using the Microsoft Office suite of tools (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• Proficiency with Excel (i.e. understanding of functions, formulas, macros, etc.)

Desired Characteristics
• Experience working for a large-scale media company, specifically within advertising sales, finance, strategy, and/or research organizations

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity or previous experience working with front-end development frameworks such as Angular or React
