Responsibilities
Role

The Focus Features FP&A team is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst responsible for worldwide film ultimate and P&L forecasting, analysis, and communication to both Focus studio executives and the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group Finance and Accounting Teams.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Actively manage Slate and P&L reporting for Focus Features films
• Support the greenlight process including financial analysis of potential projects
• Analyze and report film ultimates for all tracked film releases
• Prepare pre and post-release analysis of films for senior leadership and pacing
• Assist in the creation and consolidation of annual P&L budgets and forecasts
• Review and coordinate future forecast updates for ancillary income revenue streams (Home Entertainment, Digital, TV Distribution)
• Assist with ''what-if'' scenario analysis (release date, performance expectations, etc.) for strategic film and in-year P&L decisions
• Oversee and distribute weekly financial reports and industry highlights to Studio executives
• Support the Corporate accounting team's quarterly impairment analysis of slate titles
• Manage local amortization & participations processes for non-tracked titles
• Maintain tracking of historical film ultimates and key financial trends
• Track and forecast Overhead, liaise with HQ, Business Unit leads, and HR
• Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• SAP and business warehouse experience preferred

Desired Characteristics

Desired Characteristics:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in a previous FP&A or accounting role (media an advantage)
• Ability to guide, influence, and coordinate multiple business units by building strong working business partnerships
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver presentations
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proactive, committed, and with a willingness to work long hours where required
