Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
UNI APAC business comprises of 2 key regions ASIA and Australia/New Zealand. The business operates linear and nonlinear channels /services across the region namely: DreamWorks (ASIA), E! Zone Branded SVOD in China and Japan, Studio Universal BSVOD in Japan, and Universal TV, E! pay TV services in Australia, Bravo Free to air joint venture in New Zealand and E!, Oxygen BSVOD services in Australia.
NBC Networks legal entities in APAC that this role will oversee are
• Global Networks Asia - Singapore
• Philippines and Malaysia office
• Global Networks Australia
• Bravo NZ JV
• SICL Sparrowhawk India

This role will have a reporting accountant and finance intern.
The role will be expected to work closely with business teams in Singapore and Sydney and hence proactive communication is critical for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for General Ledger Accounting and financial closing for above mentioned legal entities.
• Coordinating accounting functions and programs
• Manage full set of accounts – JE entries, accruals, fixed assets, revaluation.
• Perform Monthly, Quarterly analysis and reconciliations of relevant balance sheet accounts (Blackline) and present to headquarters the variance's analysis
• Oversight of Intercompany Ageing report, confirmation and Intercompany recharges.
• Preparing quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews and DR reporting.
• Oversight on T&E, variance analysis and support budget setting at start of the year and cost tracking.
• Liaise with tax agent on preparation of tax schedules, transfer pricing and perform Direct (WHT) and Indirect tax filing (GST).
• Oversee audit, liaise with Auditors on audit matters, and audit schedules preparation.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Track and prepare WHT filing on withholding tax.
• Assist the Financial Controller on other ad-hoc assignments.
• Manage and first point of contact for outsourced finance service provider – Accenture for R2R and P2P processes.
• Responsible for PCR and system related issue
• Maintaining and reconciling intangible and fixed assets schedules
• Drive initiatives to find areas and opportunities to improve on company efficiencies.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended systems, programs and procedures.
• Guide junior accountants and other staff by answering questions

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 5 years working experience with Multinational company
• Proficient in MS Office suite, knowledge in SAP
• Pro-Active & solution focused
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Big 4 audit experience or large multi-national multinational experience would be an added advantage
• Proficient with technology and MS Office a given.
