Responsibilities
Market Assistant
Shop TODAY, the commerce arm of TODAY, is looking for a Market Assistant to support the team with product research and the editorial director with daily tasks. The Market Assistant will use a variety of tools and platforms to help the Shop TODAY team source and curate product selections across digital, broadcast, and streaming content. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, strong organizational skills, as well as an interest in shopping and various lifestyle categories.

Job Description:
• Conduct product research and assist with curation for inclusion across digital, broadcast and social content
• Coordinate with brands to gather all assets needed by the editorial team including photos, samples, and press releases
• File and track products selected, and manage credit information
• Assist the editorial director with various administrative tasks and research for special projects
• Manage and update database of brands and PR contacts for team's use
• Gather pitches and press releases from brands to share with the team for consideration
• Monitor trending products, track new launches, and communicate all information to the team
• Use various analytics platforms to monitor performance and reader interest (Ex: Chartbeat, Amazon, Google trends).

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience/Skills:
• 1+ year of experience working in an editorial environment
• Experience in commerce and/or lifestyle media a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Interest in shopping trends and discovering new products
• Familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms a plus

Additional Requirements:
