Responsibilities

The role is part of the head-office FP&A function located in Universal City, Los Angeles. It resides within Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, a filmed entertainment business unit overseeing digital and physical home entertainment.

Working within the Global FP&A team, the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the team with forecasting, financial reporting and other related processes for the full P&L. This position reports to the Director of Global FP&A, supporting the overall FP&A team and works closely with Film HQ, multiple Operating Companies, Commercial Finance, Marketing, Operations and the Global Controllership team.

Essential Job Functions Include:
• Support the consolidation and upload of Global Home Entertainment forecasts/pacing.
• Support the FP&A team with Long-Range Planning, Budget, and Monthly forecasting processes.
• Prepare financial dashboards and reports for management review.
• Review, analyze and share insights/trends on domestic and international Opco performance.
• Provide robust analysis to marketing functional heads to identify areas of potential risks or opportunities.
• Assist in monthly actuals reconciliations of financial systems between SAP / MARTY (internal forecasting system based on Business Planning and Consolidation or BPC).
• Manage financial reporting to internal stakeholders (e.g., NBCU International and other corporate offices).
• Prepare and manage financial reporting to external partners as necessary.
• Work closely with the FP&A team to drive simplification, process improvement and standardization.
• Support month end and quarter end processes.
• Ensure consistent data integrity and accuracy.
• Potential to rotate to experience other finance projects including Commercial Finance, Controllership, Domestic Digital and Finance Transformation.
• Other special projects and ad hoc analyses.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma.
• Prior volunteer, work, or student organization experience in business/economics.

• Media/Entertainment experience preferred by not required.
• Excellent analytical abilities and process improvement capabilities.
• General understanding of finance and accounting principles: accruals, revenue, and cost recognition.
