Responsibilities
The Email Associate is an exciting entry-level role on NBCU Local's audience development team. This role sits at the intersection of editorial, growth marketing and product management. It is the ideal role for anyone interested in the up-and-coming specialty of audience growth, specifically through the lens of editorial newsletters. The successful candidate will assist with acquisition of newsletter subscribers and retention of NBCU Local's Regional Sports Networks' loyal digital audiences. It reports directly to the Audience Retention Manager.

The successful candidate will primarily focus on the development and execution of email campaigns for NBCU Local's Regional Sports Networks. They may also be asked to collaborate on larger NBCU Local audience development initiatives, particularly as they relate to engaging and retaining loyal audiences. The candidate should be a creative, self-motivated problem solver with an interest in data who is able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform day-to-day newsletter activities including, but not limited to email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing and deployment of campaigns.
• Building and implementing suppression lists to maintain a highly engaged newsletter audience.
• Writing articles, on-site, and social CTAs promoting newsletters, and evaluating success with agreed metrics.
• Working closely with the Audience Retention Manager, Analytics and Product teams to ideate, deploy and iterate MVT tests.
• Write and edit copy for audience reengagement campaigns and present results to stakeholders including regional editorial teams and upper management.
• Write welcome series and other engagement-focused emails as needed to engage and retain new subscribers.
• Write and A/B test subject lines.
• Curate content featured in newsletters and coordinate with editorial teams to ensure timeliness and relevance.
• Work with product and analytics teams as well as external vendors to manage customer data within the list database to include opt-out management and hard bounce management.
• Work with Audience Retention Manager, Analytics, Product and external vendors to develop reports detailing all key newsletter metrics including delivery, click rates, conversion, opt-out, and segmentation analysis and propose and implement tactics to drive growth and engagement based on findings.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution
• Provide insight on audience acquisition and retention plans for mobile apps and other loyalty products where possible and appropriate.
• Support the Audience Retention Manager with projects related to loyal audiences.

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 1+ years of email/newsletter or related editorial experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism preferred or related technical discipline
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Sailthru, Salesforce, Exact Target, Mailchimp, etc.)
• Basic HTML, CSS and graphic design skills a plus
• Knowledge email best practices
• Basic computer knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
