Responsibilities
Editorial Assistant
Shop TODAY, the commerce arm of TODAY, is looking for an Editorial Assistant to write shoppable content and support the team.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of editorial and research skills with a firm understanding of trends and product news within the lifestyle space. This candidate should have the ability to write shopping content focused on product categories across fashion, home, parenting, beauty, health and food. They should be able to use data and analytics to support editorial decisions and create content that will help readers make informed shopping decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Pitch, report and write multiple shopping articles for Shop TODAY per week
• Support senior editor by updating and refreshing existing stories as needed
• Code and optimize commerce posts based on affiliate partnerships and search keywords
• Work across teams to best optimize our content for digital, social and search
• Help with daily newsletter by suggesting products, writing copy and researching sales
• Monitor cand conduct competitive analyses to find new areas for coverage and identify gaps in coverage
• Help with maintaining master sales list and handling refreshes and article builds for tentpole events including Gift Guides, Black Friday, Amazon Prime Day, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience:
• 1+ year writing experience; commerce experience a plus
• Experience working in a newsroom a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Interest in shopping trends and discovering new products
• Familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms a plus

Additional Requirements:
