Responsibilities

The Director, NBCU Platform Client Experience will lead and manage NBCUniversal's curated leadership events and strategic presence at media industry conferences to increase demand and awareness of the NBCUniversal Platform and its marketplace offerings. These activations are for both market-facing and internal audiences. For example, homegrown thought-leadership client experiences to internal town halls and leadership offsites, respectively. This role will also act as an important liaison with key trade organizations and partners when working with sales leadership and corporate communications.

Reporting to the Vice President of Client Experience and working closely with key stakeholders, this position will manage 2+ marketing positions ranging from Managers, Specialists, Associates, Pages and Interns.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the VP of Client Experience and NBCU Advertising & Partnerships Leadership to determine strategic priorities for the year and how we will show up at industry/conference/tentpole experiences throughout the year. Events during the duration of this contract will include but not be limited to: Advertising Week, CES, WEF, Cannes (initial planning), & ONE22.
• Support the relationships with industry trade partners, as well as conference & event stakeholders.
• Ideate compelling client engagement ideas (both physical & virtual) to demonstrate and deliver on NBCU strategic priorities and brand propositions in an endemic manner for more bespoke, inviting, and engaging executional ideas.
• Work with NBCU Corporate Events to plan hospitality details as well as execute on site as needed.
• Communicate objectives, strategy and executional details to all Ad Sales Leadership attendees of industry/conference/tentpole experiences, as well as communicating plans/recaps to overall Ad Sales organization.
• Help to create, identify and secure content/thought leadership opportunities that strategically align with NBCU's brand proposition.
• Work closely with VP of Client Experience and Corporate Communications to manage marketplace messaging.
• Ideate with NBCU talent team to strategically align opportunities where talent can represent NBCU in the marketplace and engage with clients.
• Support the Trade Marketing Communications request and approval process for both internal and external facing communications sent via Pardot (includes E-Blasts, Newsletter, etc…).
• Partner with the NBCU CRM team on various projects including ticket request system, meeting booking tool and Salesforce database management.
• Collaborate with NBCU internal creative services to build collateral and other assets that represent the NBCU brand.
• Secure and brief potential guest speakers and manage contractual process.
• Manage external vendors and strategic partners

Qualifications/Requirements
The Director, NBCU Platform Client Experience will lead and manage NBCUniversal's marketing efforts, curated leadership events, and strategic presence at media industry conferences and events to increase national sales across the entire platform while working closely with NBCUniversal stakeholders. These activations are for both internal and market-facing audiences.

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of leadership experience with an ad agency, client or media company sales organization, where the individual was responsible for developing and executing events, presentations, sponsorships, creative and promotions; overall project management, branding efforts and team management
• Previous experience of national and international advertising industry conferences strongly preferred
• Highly organized & proactive team player
• Robust understanding of media landscape and ad sales organizations; Knowledge of media marketing, the sales process and media overall
• Ability to interact with senior-level management, internally and externally
• Strong organizational, process, project & event management, analytical and research- related skills
• Strong budget-management skills
• Strong storytelling and deck-writing abilities
• Ability to seamlessly manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of the creative development process
• Understanding of B2B branding development, strategy, tactics and execution
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail, organization and design
• Highly innovative with positive energy
• Strong interpersonal skills - with the ability to lead and motivate team of direct reports (Managers, Specialists, Coordinators, Interns) interdepartmental teams and influence internal and external clients

Requirements:
• Must be willing to work at the office in NYC
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
