POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Programmatic Analytics & Strategy will be responsible for overseeing the analyzing and dissemination of all key insights related to the programmatic business at NBCUniversal across both CTV and web. This includes everything from executive-level dashboards around performance to budget as well as digging in the weeds of data to find patterns around performance that are impacting the overall business.

This role will work across Strategy, Sales, Business Development and Product Management teams to deliver on key partnership objectives. The Director will coordinate and analyze active initiatives with these partners and monitor how initiatives from elsewhere in the organization are impacting yield for the programmatic business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee team that manages and distributes all regular reporting and analytics around programmatic CTV and web business and global expansion
• Partner with BI team to manage programmatic roadmap, ensuring that as business evolves, the datasets that we use to monitor and analyze the business evolve with it
• Manage SSP partnerships, remaining abreast of product development from our partners, and ensuring maintenance of strategic alignment in our display marketplace
• Oversee yield management opportunities within CTV and display marketplace and uncover key business insights
• Document processes and best practices, and collaborate with sales and planning in order to implement said processes.
• Collaborate with finance to model and monitor annual budgets.
• Collaborate with analytics teams across the organization to communicate a comprehensive narrative around programmatic and how its performance measures up to the rest of the ad sales organization
• Partner with web brand teams to understand their roadmap and focus in order to ensure alignment between programmatic business and their properties

Qualifications/Requirements
• BA/BS degree required, or equivalent experience. Data Science background a plus
• 5+ years of professional experience in the programmatic space, preferably on the supply side. Experience in a yield management role is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of how ad serving functions, and the steps from buy-side/DSP to the how an ad server makes its decision, and everything in between that can impact that flow
• Must display an understanding of the mechanics of programmatic endpoint and deal troubleshooting, and the best practices for monitoring and solving challenges as they arise
• Comfort and expertise around analyzing large datasets is a must, and the ability to extract key insights from datasets and translate to executive level communication is critical. Excel wizardry is mandatory. Experience in Access, SQL, PowerBI, and Python is a plus
• Strong relationship manager with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - collaborative and positive spirit is key!
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions, defining goals, and driving action and execution on goals; Strong ability to lead direct and indirect teams.
• Uniquely combine quantitative skills needed to analyze the business/partnership with interpersonal skills needed to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
