Responsibilities
Job Purpose

Reporting to the Vice President, Client Strategy, the Director, Marketplace Analytics and Strategy will utilize insight and analytic best practices to help lead two practice areas: forecasting and direct sales support. The incumbent will assist the forecasting process by working with analysts to produce quarterly advertising forecasts and help build a narrative using macro trends (economy, politics) and industry factors (seasonality, consumption changes). For the sales support practice area, the incumbent will lead analysts on developing prospective client lists and formulate client-centric strategies. They are proactive, ambitious, eager to learn, and continually strive to provide data-driven strategies. In addition to supporting the team on deliverables, the incumbent will help evangelize the work throughout the organization, proactively meeting with sales teams and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead team project management and ensure the team is proactively generating a steady stream of insights, analytics, and strategy
• Lead internal relationships for key sales teams/leaders
• Help brainstorm and author thought leadership
• Provide direct support and mentorship to junior team members
• Help contextualize macro trends (e.g. political, economic, cultural) into how it may impact clients or their industries
• Proactively look for new or interesting data sources to mine for insights and thought leadership
• Assist the team's ongoing forecasting and data modeling projects
• Lead proactive efforts to define and quantify sales opportunities with prospective clients
• Support larger company initiatives around category insight and strategy creation

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a Social Science, Economics, Statistics or similar quantitative field with qualitative background
• 7+ years of applied experience using insights and analytics to provide recommendations
• Direct management/supervision experience

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Willingness to travel and work overtime
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
