We are excited to have a new opportunity for an HR Generalist to join our Sports Division in Stamford, CT, as a business partner. This role will primarily support our Olympic Operations, Programming, & Production Teams, while also supporting our Features Production Teams. The HR Generalist will also collaborate to support across NBC Sports, as the needs arise.

Job Duties :
• The HR Generalist will support the full range of Human Resources responsibilities including:
• Staffing/Talent Acquisition: Support the recruitment process from building inclusive job descriptions, interviewing, hiring to then facilitating the on-boarding process for new hires.
• Performance Management & Talent Development: Work with leaders to establish an environment where employees can create and grow meaningful careers, identify opportunities for training and growth, acquire new skills, and advance.
• Organizational Development: Support and facilitate all phases of organizational changes including processing transactions in HR systems such as promotions, hires, terms, and org changes.
• Positive Employee Relations: Work with department leaders, and staff to establish and maintain a positive work environment which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities. Coach and counsel our employees and managers to resolve any concerns in a proactive, fair, and equitable manner. Take initiative to spend significant time interfacing directly with employees/client base to establish trust and credibility.
• HR Operations: Will need to become an expert in managing our various systems, including our internal system, SCORE, SAP, Timekeeper, etc. Will be a key partner in driving hiring actions related to the onboarding of over 2000 employees supporting the Games.
• International Sensibility: Partner with Immigration, Legal, and vendor partners to administer visas for individuals traveling in support of various international Sporting events including Features/Profile Shoots & Remote Events.
• Collaborative Partnerships: Liaise with our partners across various functions from HR (Benefits, HR Operations, Compensation, etc.) to Finance, Payroll, Legal, Operations, etc., to manage and resolve employee inquiries.
• Adaptability, Flexibility, and Curiosity: Supporting any other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Related Fields of Study.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant HR Experience.
• Proficient with Office & Windows programs, and HRIS systems.

Additional Job Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

Desired Characteristics
• Previous experience working in a highly matrixed organization a plus.
• Experience supporting a global workforce including visa management & immigration.
• Strong employee relations skillset, including working in both non-union and union environments.
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results.
• Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment; must demonstrate a sense of urgency.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations related to the Human Resource function (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.).
• Genuine curiosity about the business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated coaching/mentoring skills; results orientation; high energy; comfortable handling multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Previous experience in media or entertainment industry.
