Job Description
Responsibilities
The SVP of Strategy & Business Development will identify, evaluate, develop and implement growth opportunities for NBC News Group ( including NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC) in a way that strengthens the brand, expands revenue streams, and aligns with NBC News Group's long term growth strategy. The role will work closely with internal News Group, NBCU and Comcast stakeholders and business units to evaluate both organic and inorganic strategies.
• Responsible for Identifying and screening new venture and acquisition opportunities for NBC News Group
• Be a thought leader for developing and executing innovative growth strategies; thinking outside of existing ways of working / operating models
• Build strong relationships with internal leaders / stakeholders across NBC News Group, NBCUniversal and Comcast; foster two-way communication to ensure opportunities are shared and explored
• Drive collaboration on organic and inorganic opportunities across NBC News Group, NBCU and Comcast
• Coordinate with and/or lead commercial teams and key stakeholders to conduct commercial analysis and due diligence on potential transactions; active involvement and leadership in all major negotiations
• Lead a high performing and motivated team of employees by providing career development and continuously look for ways to engage and grow their careers.
• Work with NBC News Group and NBCUniversal's International businesses to spot cross-business / multiple territory opportunities
• Represent NBC News Group in the external marketplace; actively network to build strong relationships and have full understanding of competitive landscape

Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 12 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, and/or consulting within the following industries: Media, Digital, Entertainment, Management Consulting or Investment Banking; prior operational experience would be hugely beneficial
• Management Consulting or Investment Banking experience must include work within the Media, Entertainment or Digital space

• Interest and expertise in digital technologies
• Charismatic, impressive and effective leader; credible at board level
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
• MBA or comparable graduate degree with significant commercial experience.
