Responsibilities
NBC News is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-driven Photo Editor to create visual content for its shopping verticals, Shop TODAY and Select.­

The Commerce Photo Editor will be responsible for shooting lifestyle and product photography, in addition to photo editing for our commerce articles and their social media promotion. The Photo Editor will collaborate with the commerce editors to identify the best way to visually present an article and ultimately drive engagement and sales.
The ideal candidate will have a mix of photography, graphic design, and analytical skills and a firm understanding of the commerce editorial space.

Job Duties:
• Work closely with the Art Director to art direct and produce product and lifestyle photography for our articles on nbcnews.com/select, cnbc.com/select, today.com/shop, and our social platforms
• Select and edit images and create simple photo illustrations for articles on nbcnews.com/select, cnbc.com/select, today.com/shop, and our social platforms
• Work with multiple stakeholders and execute assignments from commerce editors on a wide range of topics
• Maintain and administer a centralized photo database

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in photography
• Experience photographing products and lifestyle and experience producing studio shoots
• Experience as a photo editor/designer at a lifestyle publisher or retail brand a plus
• A portfolio that demonstrates an eye for storytelling, concept, composition, color, etc.
• Willingness to work flexible days and hours and under tight deadline pressure, including peak shopping holidays (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Prime Days)
• Must be willing to work in NYC

Skills:
• Ability to work easily between multiple content and CMS types to publish on deadline
• Ability to work on quick deadlines, alongside other project stakeholders
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Additional Requirements:
