Overview

Summary The Director - Sponsorship Sales will be responsible for growing revenue by identifying and developing new sponsorship and premium group ticket package sales. Compensation package includes base salary plus commission plan.

• Cold call potential sponsorship clients as well as set up face to face meetings and maintain accurate records of all clients and prospects
• Meet and exceed established monthly and annual sales objectives and revenue goals
• Create, present and close sponsorship presentations with clients
• Develop new/maintain existing sponsorship, and select group, partnerships that build revenue for the organization
• Grow new business by hitting new prospect goals as assigned
• Assist in the daily sponsorship duties of the organization including but not limited to developing and maintaining good-working relationships with both internal departments and external clients, a focus on excellent customer service, entertaining new prospects/current clients, creating sponsorship sales presentation materials and select sponsor fulfillment duties assigned by the General Manager – Business Development & Brand Marketing
• Pull tarp on field as necessary

Education and/or Experience

Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a college or university; and two or more year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2-3 years working in sponsorship/ ticket sales or similar role preferred.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays. Must work all home games.
