Overview

Summary The Coordinator – Custodial Operations will be a full-time position, located at the Phoenix facility. This individual will directly report to the Director – Phoenix Facility Operations/Maintenance and will be responsible for ensuring a clean, healthy, and safe environment for all employees, players, coaches, and fans who visit the complex.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Partner with a contracted custodial company to ensure all areas of the facility are clean, sterile, and safe.
• Implement a working schedule to ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned based on different events taking place at American Family Fields of Phoenix.
• Partner with the Director-Phoenix Facility Operations/Maintenance on identifying facility operation needs, while maintaining the overall appearance of the facility.
• Completion of recommended training courses, that may, or may not include the following:
• Hydrotherapy pool maintenance/safety certification
• Monitoring effectiveness of ''Calison Spray'' applications, as deemed necessary
• Bloodborne Pathogen Training
• Forklift Certification
• Golf Cart Operational Training
• Partner with the Director-Phoenix Facility Operations/Maintenance on all custodial orders for American Family Fields of Phoenix.
• Create and manage a janitorial budget, that will contain but not limited to the following:
• Janitorial Supplies
• General supplies for continued sanitation, and overall cleanliness
• Contracted janitorial labor
• Any other expenses deemed necessary to ensure optimal health and safety
• General maintenance duties, as assigned by the Director - Phoenix Facility Operations/Maintenanc

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Qualifications: In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Previous maintenance or custodial operations experience is preferred, but not required
• Must be a team player, self-starter, assertive and professional
• High level of demonstrated professionalism and integrity
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good relationships with clients, sponsors and staff members
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and quotas
• Demonstrated quick learner with ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Must be a team player, self-starter, assertive and professional

Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.

Hours vary according to the game and event schedule. Maximum of 40 hours per week.
