Treasury Accountant

Job Description

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking a Treasury Accountant to oversee the cash accounting activities for the Company's US and International Operations. This will include posting of cash receipts, outgoing payments, check processing and GL reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
• Record daily bank deposits, outgoing wire transfers, and various cash journal entries into SAP
• Data upload into SAP
• Manual journal posting
• Secondary bank receipts
• Intercompany transfers
• Treasury payments
• Maintain documentation and proper record keeping of all entries recorded to the general ledger
• Process check deposits via e-deposit and in-branch
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations
• Primary custodian of petty cash and negotiable items
• Complete audit requests as assigned
• Maintain department supply stock
• Assist in documentation and updating of departmental policies and procedures
• Assist Senior Vice President and Executive Director with special projects, as assigned
• Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet month-end deadlines
• Solid knowledge of banking and accounting
• Strong knowledge of SAP
• Strong computer, analytical, and technical skills
• Must have strong skill set in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
• Highly organized
