Job Description

Quantitative Analysis Fellow:

The mission of Quantitative Analysis is to research and develop data-driven metrics and tools that enhance decision-making throughout the Dodgers baseball operations department.

Position Skills & Qualifications:
• Relevant experience in data science
• Experience with R or Python
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in speech and in writing about technical and non-technical concepts

Performance Science Fellow:

The Performance Science team uses science and engineering principles to better understand on-field performance through biomechanical data analysis and visualization.

Position Skills & Qualifications:
• Preference for an academic background in a STEM field (mechanical engineering, biomechanics, physics, etc.)
• Some computer programming experience (Python, command line tools)
• Familiarity with SQL / database querying
• Ability to spend time in Arizona for Spring Training
• Flexibility to work odd hours (in-game support)

Program Requirements:
• Must be a current Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in your final year of a graduate program at an accredited institution OR within 1 year post graduation.
• Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 5-month program (March-August).
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Passionate about working for a professional sports team.
• Proactive and out of the box thinking.
