The LiveAnalytics team is a market leading data analytics provider focused on innovation and unlocking the power of data for our clients.
THE JOB
The ticketing industry is transforming into digital instruments connected to accounts. We call it identity-based ticketing and Ticketmaster is leading this ticketing and data evolution. We are on the cusp of knowing everyone in an event as well as anyone who might be interested in attending. This transition is bringing the promise of personalized ticketing to life.
This change requires a completely new set of skills and expertise and our clients are requesting our help. They believe in the power of data and analytics, however they don't always have the dataset, tools, skills or capacity or resources to drive the most strategic analytics and insights.
Ticketmaster's Live Analytics team is a leader in this space serving hundreds of clients with data enrichment, visualization and multiple modelling services. Some examples our product suite include prospecting models, brand affinity models, venue-selection models, season ticket retention models, pricing models and economic impact studies. The list goes on and there are more requests every day.
This team is growing and is looking for a leader based in our LA office.
Our ideal candidate has experience and capabilities in consultative client interactions, deep analytics capabilities, and experience with building a team around a growth vision. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, strong strategic capabilities, ability to manage a full team of operations, product, data engineers and analysts. The individual will be responsible for managing the analytics decision models, designing the methodology and executing analysis to drive insights into actionable recommendations.
• Work with the current team to help establish the vision and growth strategy for the LiveAnalytics business
• Manage the senior LiveAnalytics Client, Product, Operations and Data Science leaders
• Proactively drive the innovation based on Ticketmaster strategy, data assets and client needs
• Validate client impact and work with product marketing to build service offering support materials
• Manage P&L with finance business partners by segment, client and product
• Work with Business Development team to achieve revenue and profits targets
• Drive thought leadership in collaboration with Product Marketing (blog pieces, POV's, industry reports, client events, and conferences)
• Develop strategies to monetize assets
TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Experience consulting and problem solving with clients
• Experience with a range of analytics and large datasets
• Strong data manipulation and database modelling skills.
• Experience working with large scale data systems. Proficient in SQL and ETL processes.
• Experience managing a P&L
• Minimum 10 years of experience in analytics and client facing roles
• Experience leading, coaching and developing a team
• Excellent verbal, written, and client-facing communications skills
• Open to up to 35% travel
• Bachelor's Degree required; Masters preferred
