Job Description
Summary of Position

The Director is in charge of maintaining proper accounting for IDC and satellite companies (Muchos Amigos Pictures, Premium Plus Entertainment, FilmGate Entertainment, Cinevento, etc) and it's managed fund's financial statements, royalty reports, partner distributions and tax related items. They will oversee running and validating financial models for potential film acquisitions and business ventures. They will also assist and work directly with top management on business development and running operations for the company and ventures.

Responsibilities
• Provide general supervision and management of the day-to-day financial and accounting process.

• Oversee bookkeeping for IDC and satellite companies (Muchos Amigos Pictures, Premium Plus Entertainment, FilmGate Entertainment, Cinevento, etc) as well as IDC managed investment fund's, ensure and keep proper accounting, maintain financial statements for Tax preparation and partner reporting.

• Maintain ultimates for IDC's film library.

• Manage relationship with Lionsgate finance, AR, AP, Tax and accounting teams to ensure proper book and record keeping, financials, taxes, ultimates etc.

• Cash Flow preparation and control of IDC managed funds and satellite companies (Muchos Amigos Pictures, Premium Plus Entertainment, FilmGate Entertainment, Cinevento, etc).

• Oversee quarterly Fee Claim and Participation/amortization reporting processes for all these companies.

• Perform financial statement analysis and present to stakeholders/Investors.

• Review balance sheet to ensure proper short-term long-term presentation of assets and liabilities

• Provide look-back analysis of Revenue and P&A, budget vs Actual comparison.

• Develop and maintain IDC's overhead budget.

• Work closely with the President of IDC to define mid to long-term strategies.

• Identify new business opportunities and ways to improve our business model.

• Develop and test benchmarks and protocols to improve financial integrity and operational efficiency.

• Lead data strategy efforts between the various departments within IDC.

• Help the Marketing & Servicing departments with distribution concepts and analysis.

• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned and audits as necessary.

• Work with internal and external tax firms to cover tax reporting accurately and on time.

Qualifications and Skills
• Experience in accounting including amortization and participation accruals

• Bookkeeping including journal entries, Intercompany accounts, reclassifications

• Solid understanding of accounting in film (ultimates, participations, distribution, etc.)

• Ensuring Company's accounting policies are adhered to and followed/ integrity of accounting information

• Implementing internal controls

• Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly accounting close process

• Knowledge of GAAP

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP BW) and other financial reporting tools

• Quickbooks

• Advanced knowledge of Excel (managing large data sets, troubleshooting external sources/links)

• Spanish required; Portuguese huge plus
