Director, Contract Compliance and Third-Party Audit

Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Director, in our Contract Compliance & Third Party Audit (CCTPA) department. This position will manage entertainment industry compliance examinations of Lionsgate's distribution of films and television series brought by Producers, Directors, and Talent from fieldwork through settlement. Prospective applicants will continue the development and maintenance of relationships with outside auditors and other Lionsgate divisions including Theatrical, TV, Merchandising, Games, Digital streaming (AVOD, SVOD, PVOD), content distribution platforms apps (OTT, Mobile, Web, etc.), Theme Parks, Music, and other developing technologies and initiatives such as NFT distribution that are leading the way in a rapidly evolving and dynamic future. Reviews complex analysis related to audit claims and issues to support EVP of CCTPA in audit settlement negotiations.

Responsibilities
• Manages the process of the third party and compliance examinations which will include executing the films and television series fieldwork projects and contract and financial analysis.

• Identify, investigate, research and proactively resolve potential issues impacting the contractual reporting obligation during the fieldwork of an audit engagement.

• Contribute to and prepare various senior management presentations working with the CCTPA team members.

• Reviews audit reports and prepares claims analysis. Makes recommendations to the EVP of CCTPA with respect to positioning on audit claims and the issues raised.

• Understands the principles and theories of finance, accounting, and other related disciplines to plan, design and conduct business analyses.

• Performs analysis and research including analyzing various reports from multiple systems including SAP to identify issues and explore solutions to resolve the root cause of the issues

• Works with members of the CCTPA team on cross training and knowledge transfer of contract compliance processes.

• Will train and work with the members of the CCTPA teamo document current transactional audit support processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and improvements.

• Research potential issues using SAP and/or other line-of-business components to review underlying transactional activity.

• Partner and collaborate with various department team members across Lionsgate to expedite and support audit requests.

Experience & Skills
• Detail oriented, without losing sight of the big picture.

• Is a self-starter, takes initiative with an entrepreneurial approach to taking on new challenges as they arise.

• Should be highly organized, self-motivated, and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, in order to meet deadlines for multiple audit projects at various stages of completion.

• Must demonstrate flexibility with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment with good interpersonal skills.

• Has SAP G/L, SAP business warehouse or comparable accounting system experience.

• Must be able to write clearly and informatively with a strong ability to read and interpret written information and analyze financial reports and legal documents.

• Has strong Excel and analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).

• Experience with a team project management and collaboration platform solution like Asana or Monday.com is a plus.

• 5-6 years of experience in accounting, finance, entertainment or a related field.

• Previous management and leadership experience.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration is required.
