Job Summary/Description:

KWQC-TV6 is looking for a dynamic professional to anchor our weekday morning newscasts. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned journalist to move into a leadership role at the number one station in the Quad Cities. We want someone who will lead by example in the newsroom.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Solo-anchor and help produce when necessary for two hours.
- The morning anchor will also be involved in the day-to-day operations of the newsroom and be a mentor to staff members.
- The successful candidate should be an energetic ''morning person.''

Qualifications/Requirements:
- A College degree in journalism broadcasting or related field.
- Experience is a plus.
- In lieu of a college degree, applicants with 2 or more years of experience in the broadcast or forecasting industry will be considered.
- Knowledge and experience with HTML and the capabilities of Web browsers is needed along with knowledge of Photoshop, Google drive and apps, etc.
- A strong candidate already knows how to write for web-based platforms and can work
under intense deadlines.
