NEWS ANCHOR/REPORTER (EVENING) - KOSA

Our anchors are involved in the community and involved in the newsroom. The person we hire must have a positive attitude and be an ambassador for the station by making personal appearances at community events. The ideal candidate will also be a coach to our younger reporters and producers. You will be expected to turn special reports in and out of sweeps, as well as live report & field anchor during breaking news and community events and produce newscasts on both a regular and fill in basis. Bottom line: we're looking for a leader-someone who doesn't hesitate to make decisions and get the job done and someone who can work closely with the rest of the team to create engaging newscasts.

Job Summary/Description:

We are seeking an experienced anchor to join our award-winning news team. This person will anchor our evening CW newscasts and regularly fill-in on the CBS7 anchor desk. The ideal candidate will have a strong on-air delivery and embrace social media / having a presence on digital platforms, including writing for our website, cbs7.com.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Excellent News Judgement
* Strong broadcast
* AP writing skills
* A degree in Journalism or Communications

Qualifications/Requirements:
* A strong work ethic
* The ability to multi-task, work under and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with ENPS, Sony Vegas, Sony XDCAM cameras and Click ability Dynamic Site platform preferred
