Job Summary/Description:

HNN has an immediate opening for a highly creative and highly motivated newscast producer for Sunrise, Hawaii's top-rated morning show. We are looking for someone who thrives in an exciting and fast-paced work environment. Must be team-oriented, have a positive attitude and be flexible enough to cover both breaking news and light-hearted content. Enjoy the perks of waking up early by getting your shift done while many are just starting and then having the rest of the day to yourself!

The primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Plan, structure, write and edit newscasts, or other news content
2. Work with reporters to conceptualize and coordinate news stories
2. Produce and edit editorial content directly to website
4. Develop, plan and research morning show segments

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Strong news judgment, ethics and knowledge of Hawaii
• Excellent writing, grammar and copy-editing skills
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a newsroom preferred
• Must work well in stressful situations
• Must have a positive attitude
