Job Summary/Description:

KGWN, Wyoming News Now in Cheyenne Wyoming is seeking a hard working, trust worthy applicant to fill the open position of Sports Anchor/Reporter/MMJ. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker, self-starter and team player who is ready to work with the news department and be able to communicate effectively with management, staff and our viewers.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary sports talent. Includes in studio and field reporting
- Coordinate our Friday football coverage and show
- Shoot, write and edit sports stories and highlights with an emphasis on covering local sports
- Write and post sports stories on multiple social media and digital platforms
- Report live from various sporting events

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to shoot and edit video, write scripts, and communicate effectively
- Degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field
- Some experience reporting, filming preferred
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Familiarity with non-linear editing
- Ability to lift 35-40 pounds of gear
