Job Summary/Description:

KFDA in Amarillo, Texas is looking for an experienced Meteorologist to join our #1 rated weather team. The ideal candidate must have experience in broadcast television and must be able to produce a dynamic, compelling forecast. This candidate will also be a critical part of our large storm chasing team.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:
* Produce and present clear, accurate and engaging forecasts for the Amarillo market
* Handle multiple weather forecasting platform including broadcast and digital
* Contribute content for digital platforms including OTT, station web site, Apps and social media

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Knowledge of WSI weather systems helpful
* On-air broadcast experience Required
* Certification and a meteorology or atmospheric sciences degree are preferred
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to work long hours/overtime, weekend or evenings as needed for storm coverage
