Job Summary/Description:

KCTV5 is looking for a MEDIA COORDINATOR-CONTENT CREATOR that can support with the day-to-day logistics for the KCTV5 marketing team to improve processes and workflows between Productions, Operations, News, and Sales team.

Strategic data entry of station promotional material (commercials) on Wide Orbit System, performing logging duties for KCTV5, KSMO, Circle TV, and/or any other properties operated by Gray Television in Kansas City. The Media Coordinator will work directly with clients in helping to produce commercials and content on KCTV5 News at 9am. You would help create original content, generate copy for KCTV5 Marketing team along with daily assignments below (but may not be limited to):
- Shooting video and editing
- Posting stories on the web
- Posting content to station social media platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:
- 4-year college degree – or similar operational role preferably in digital media, television production, web management
- Must be organized, quick learner, and able to handle multiple projects at one time, especially when your projects are in various stages
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
- Ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication and writing skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of production equipment, video cameras, lighting, sound, and production
- Training provided for in-house logging software (Wide Orbit) and mandatory for doing the tasks needed to perform regular duties
