THE ROLE

The Sync & Licensing Manager to partner closely with the Music Group team and handle music sync & licensing for releases, promotions, advertisements and events. The successful candidate will be a highly organized and detail oriented team player who is able to follow through on multiple projects with tight deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience at a growing label. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILTIES
• Develop sync & licensing strategy to fully exploit catalogue
• Develop organization of publishing repertoire and A&R of new signings
• Manage relationships with key sync clients - music supervisors, production companies, broadcasters, clearance companies
• Oversee all incoming briefs and optimize pitching system for sync placement
• Track and follow-up on quotes and pending requests
• Manage internal media team external clearances
• Manage internal and external teams, and artist management, to ensure all roster assets are current
• Maintain and develop internal systems, and databases for publishing and sync catalogue and royalty management
• All other sync, publishing, and licensing needs as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of programmatic experience in publisher business development for record labels, media companies or other related organizations
• Understanding of music databases, knowledge of music clearance licensing process and commissioning music
• Advanced understanding of digital music distribution terminology, services and processes
• Established relationships with decision-makers to facilitate all publishing deals
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients and partners
• Self-starter with proven ability to seek new partnerships or initiatives, and lead a project from inception to execution
• Strong quantitate skills and negotiation abilities
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates
• Must be willing to work and travel to work during night, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
