THE ROLE

Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Video Editor, to join the post-production department in Los Angeles. The Video Editor will play a crucial role in the post-production process by conceptualizing, editing and revising videos that showcase the company's integral role in the world of Dance Music. This position reports to the Director, Video. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create engaging content for various social media platforms and trailers
• Organize and import video footage
• Develop the look and aesthetics of the company's various brands
• Maintain brand integrity
• Communicate messaging in a meaningful and creative way
• Continue to tell the story of our company, our events and our legacy in Dance Music
• Contribute new and creative ideas
• Editing to music in a skillful and artistic way
• Translating feedback on videos into meaningful edits
• Color correction
• Providing foundational sound design
• Deliver organized, complete, and compelling videos

QUALIFICATIONS
• Required 5+ years' experience in video editing
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop
• A passion for and at least a basic understating of dance musicThe ability to communicate visually
• A technical understanding of audio and color
• Understanding of codecs, files types and compression
• Strong knowledge of plug-ins
• Experience in integration of marketing messages across multiple channels, with the ability to pull cross-functional teams together to finalize development plans
• Experience managing multiple vendors, employing procurement best practices
• Must be motivated with an ''Everything is possible'' attitude
• Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
• Must have clean criminal and driving record, valid driver's license, passport, and car insurance

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates on job sites in various regions of the United States and Mexico
• Must be willing to frequently work and travel to events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events
