Overview
HGTV is searching for a talented Director of Digital Video to join the social and digital team supporting the HGTV brand and streaming home content on discovery+. This energetic creative will oversee the overall video strategy for video content for HGTV, including original mid-form digital series and short-form social companion content for priority shows and talent.

Responsibilities
Your Opportunity
• Create a year-long strategy for video content to support priority shows and talent.
• Manage video content planning.
• Create briefs for projects, project outlines, and video scripts.
• Oversee teams producing social video and digital mid and long form video series that will support priority linear shows on HGTV and discovery+
• Develop social video and digital mid-form video series that will support linear priority shows on HGTV and discovery+
• Manage multiple, simultaneous video projects from pitch to execution either through direct producing, working with internal producers or by overseeing production companies.
• Cultivate relationships with production companies, agents, talent, producers, shooters and editors across the unscripted category. Help identify and recruit top-tier lifestyle video talent collaborators for editorial series.
• Work with editorial and social leads to create cohesive promotional plans for all HGTV priority shows and talent
• Work with internal ad sales marketing teams to create content for integration and sponsorship.
• Review and analyze video performance against benchmarks and use to strategize future content
• Establish and manage both year-long and project-specific budgets and schedules
• Ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget deliverables, troubleshooting as needed.
• Some travel required for this position as well as potential evening and/or weekend production work required.
Qualifications
• You're a digital pro with 7-10 years' experience in linear production and social/digital content creations, you're highly organized with the ability to create long-term strategies and experience working with high-profile talent.

• You also have extensive linear and digital production experience from pre-pro through post and can prioritize, keeping projects on track and on deadline.
• You have experience working with linear production companies and are familiar with the linear production model but can ideate and operate with a digital budget.
• You are a strong, spoken and written communicator who will develop creative and clear stories and productions for a variety of audiences, brands and platforms.
This position can be located in any Discovery state and must report to the office three days a week; the position will be reporting to a Knoxville-based team.
