Scheduling Coordinator

Job Description

Hearst Television is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to manage programming schedules for our streaming channels in the Very Local app. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver who has a passion for television.

The Scheduling Coordinator will work closely with the Manager of Scheduling and other members of the scheduling team to create a world-class streaming experience for our viewers all over the country.

Responsibilities:
• Contribute to and execute programming schedules in a virtualized system for multiple streaming channels in local markets
• Work with content producers and news teams to acquire and deliver original video content to streaming channels in a timely and efficient manner
• Use Adobe Premiere and other video editing tools to clean up and prep videos for digital delivery
• Maintain meticulous metadata records associated with Hearst TV's growing video library
• Acquire news-produced content from various locations in order to keep the app up to date with the newest information from around Hearst Television's many stations
• Manage the insertion of ad breaks, interstitial content and time fill in a virtualized rundown to create the optimal user experience
• Actively monitor stations streaming channels with an eye for spotting bugs, while looking for improvements
• Assist with metrics reporting and analysis

Requirements:
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient with editing software, preferably Adobe Premiere
• Strong understanding of Google Sheets
• Strong written and verbal communicator who can work effectively with multiple teams
• A desire to find the most efficient way of getting content to our viewers
• Passion for streaming and local programming in various communities
