Job Description
Hearst's Enthusiast Group is looking for an associate social editor for Popular Mechanics, Runner's World, Best Products, and Bicycling. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing multiple social channels, enthusiasm for our brands, a record of positive collaboration, and a passion for the Enthusiast Group's community values. This is a key role for creating meaningful connections, initiating conversations on momentous topics, and evaluating the vitality of each user action on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

He or she should be skilled at juggling multiple priorities throughout the day such as scheduling posts, brainstorming visuals with Design or concepts with Video, unearthing trends in each different niche we touch, and communicating successes through data analysis. Attention to detail, proper grammar, and adherence to the group's social objectives are essential.

This role reports sits with the Service and News Team in Easton, PA and works closely with a variety of departments, including Features, Design, Sales, Commerce, and Executive Stakeholders. What You'll Do
• Collaborate and coordinate with editors, writers, designers, photo, sales, and leadership for daily tasks and special projects
• Create and schedule all post for the four brands' social media accounts
• Create timely, relevant, engaging, and thoughtful posts, Reels, TikToks and future types of social content
• Spot trends, potential sources, and story ideas in your social listening
• Manage sponsored content/posts/stories and programmatic/commerce content across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc
• Find creative ways to socially promote all types of content created within the group
• Engage with active members in exclusive social groups
• Discover products that will create connections between our brands and social audiences
• Optimize content in our CMS for social promotion and train editors
• Support coaches, pros, experts for content, takeovers, etc
• Occasionally write content that reflects a distinctive social voice
• Experience with social tools: DashHudson, SocialFlow, CrowdTangle, Google Analytics, Canva and social listening tools

Who You Are
• You have a minimum of 2 years managing social media pages
• You have a minimum of 1 years writing
• You have expertise or passion for running and/or cycling
• Hands-on knowledge of digital media tools, such as Photoshop, analytics tools, and content management systems
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Digital Media Studies, Communications, English, Literature or related fields from an accredited college or university, or equivalent, with a record that demonstrates suitable preparation for this role
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining open communication and a collaborative spirit with the team
• Strong editorial judgment, writing skills, and understanding of media ethics
