The Job

We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join our fast-paced and passionate team in Amsterdam on a 1 year contract. As a paralegal, the primary purpose of the job is to support our legal counsels in their day-to-day job.

The Daily
• Supporting the legal counsels in their day-to-day job
• Being able to draw up several agreements independently, such as participant agreements, actor agreements, scenario and directors agreements, agreements with foreign producers etc.
• Dealing with day-to-day production team queries including providing them with correct precedents, advising on copyright and music queries and escalating matters as required
• Attending production 'set up' meetings to advise teams on legal and compliance issues that may be relevant during production
• Coordinating reports regarding privacy/production related information
• Administer and manage templates of several agreements
• Contract management
• Depending on the level of knowledge, there is a possibility to dive into more legal related matters, such as negotiations with show contestants, agents of actors/contestants and also sort out some legal questions together with the legal counsels, to support them in difficult cases.
• Monitoring Covid-19 policy within and outside the Netherlands and advising production teams on setting up productions in line with Covid-19 policy
• Keeping up to date with new legislation and regulations for the department
• Provide support with GDPR-related work

The Essentials
• Excellent level of Dutch
• Minimum of HBO level in Law studies (general law studies will be sufficient)
• +/- 0-1 year of relevant working experience in any Law field
• Independent and good at problem solving
• Proactive and confidence to handle urgent issues

The Nice-to-Haves
• Affinity/experience with media law and intellectual property law
• The ability to manage a demanding workload and the expectations of multiple internal clients
• The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people
• Strong communicator with a positive attitude
• Ability to handle stress
