Specialist, Editorial Strategy

Job Description

As an Editorial Specialist you will curate movies, series, specials, and episodes for the HBO Max app based on the strategies of the Editorial Team. This role will execute merchandising plans and campaigns, create thematic curations, build collections, schedule curations in Airtable, and provide support to the Editorial Team in promoting priority titles in the HBO Max.

The Daily
• Drive customer retention and engagement by executing the Editorial Team's strategies and maintaining curations for in-app pages
• Ideate creative curations based on windowing and the Editorial Team's strategies
• Meet deadlines for Editorial Calendar delivery of collections, copy and imagery, and components.
• Enter schedules for owned in-app pages into the CMS, ensuring accuracy. Assist Publishing counterparts to ensure schedules for pages are delivered on time and to specification.
• Understand strategies on feature rollouts, industry standards and changes, and product improvements.
• Interpret and utilize data and dashboards to optimize scheduling output.

The Essentials
• 2+ years of experience in digital editorial products specific to user engagement and streaming or related experience at an entertainment media company.
• Familiarity with content editorial, preferably in streaming, across all devices and operating systems
• Knowledge of competitive landscape including SVOD, AVOD and OTT services
• An understanding of the changing entertainment landscape.
• Detail oriented, organized, adept at prioritizing tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Developed creative taste and strong instinct for stories and experiences that will capture consumers.

• Is self-motivated and accountable with excellent time management skills.
