The Job

As the Manager, Digital Audience Strategy you will play a critical role in ensuring that media campaigns are targeting the right audiences, aligning to campaign targets and goals. You will work closely with internal marketing teams, agency teams, and vendors to understand audience requirements and develop the audience component of our HBO Max Originals media plans. You'll also work closely with the technology teams to make sure we're maximizing the use of our first party data.

You will work cross-functionally to drive our audience strategy, backed with an understanding of technical requirements and a creative execution lens. A successful candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a knack for creatively leveraging data signals to meet campaign objectives.

The Daily
• Partner with internal marketing teams to understand target audiences
• Support digital media teams by identifying and developing appropriate audiences for campaigns using tools such as YouGov
• Work closely with the MarTech/AdTech teams to maximize the use of technology (mParticle, LiveRamp, Neustar) related to audience
• Collaborate with media agency to translate audience targets into workable media plan
• Stay up-to-date on 2P and 3P data capabilities and nuances
• Test and analyze different data sets for identifying and effectively reaching target audiences
• Work with digital analytics team to develop audience insights and uncover opportunistic audience segments
• Communicate audience capabilities to internal marketing teams

The Essentials
• 5+ years working in digital media and translating audience data sets into targetable strategies
• Experience with identity resolution solutions, DMPs, CDPs, and data onboarders (Ie, Neustar, LiveRamp, mParticle)
• Understanding of translating research and strategic audiences to campaign activations
• Experience with multi-channel digital media campaign strategy and activation
• Strong understanding of media targeting datasets and use cases
• Proven success working across internal and external teams in a dynamic team environment
• Agency and/or entertainment experience a plus
