Business Operations Manager (In-App Experiments) - HBO Max

The Team

The Business Operations team builds connective tissue for HBO Max, empowering our cross-functional partners with the tools, processes, and structure they need to do their best work. On the daily, we partner across all teams in the organization to enhance processes, drive efficiency, and create visibility. We are versatile, flexible, and diplomatic, proactively identifying opportunities to support our cross-functional partners by improving BAU operations and tackling new strategic initiatives in an ever-evolving environment.

The Role

The Business Operations Manager (Experimentation) is the lead responsible for the content scheduling, uploading, and placement of assets and publishing QA for In-App A/B experimentation. They will understand the experimentation strategy, exhibit end to end knowledge of the publishing workflow, and be responsible for performing the product publishing process for HBO Max, focusing on In-App experiments.

The Daily

Biz Ops' role and scope will evolve as the business does - adaptability and a wholehearted willingness to pivot and take on whatever is needed is essential.
• The lead for Publishing In-App Experiments is responsible for scheduling, publishing, and uploading of assets for all HBOMax content related to experimentation within the internal HBOMax scheduling tool
• Track publishing progress on all In-App experimentation / QA publishing builds and communicate status updates
• Develop expert 'End to End' knowledge on Publishing workflow to handle issue triage, troubleshooting and escalating issues with the HBOMax scheduling tool to proper cross functional teams
• Document bugs with scheduling tool, and communicate effectively with engineers to come up with tooling enhancements/solutions.

The Essentials
• 3+ years of experience in product publishing / QA / 24-7 live support/ Merchandising with experience working in scheduling tools, ideally at an entertainment media company
• Extensive experience in content publishing, preferably in streaming, across all devices and operating systems
• Extensive experience with issue triage, documenting bugs, and working with cross functional teams to resolve live escalations as well as issue prevention.
• Knowledge of competitive landscape including SVOD, AVOD, and OTT services as well as deep knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Self-motivated and accountable, capable of anticipating needs
• Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities; candidate must be able to create their own direction yet balance cross functional teams' needs, reacting quickly, dynamically, and intelligently
• 4 year degree, or equal past experience.
• 11am-7pm PT / 2pm-10pm EST
