NEWS PRODUCER (PRIMARY) - KOLOAbout KOLO:
KOLO 8 News Now is the ABC and CW affiliate television station serving the Reno/Sparks area, Northern Nevada and parts of the eastern California. KOLO broadcasts seven hours of news weekdays. We are also dedicated to serving the community through KOLO Cares, partnering with area non-profit organizations.
Job Summary/Description:
The Producer is responsible for organizing and writing the newscast and getting it on air. You must be able to meet deadlines and be aware of what is happening in our community, the nation and the world. Attention to detail is a must. Prior producing experience is a plus.
Determine what stories will be in our newscasts, organizes the content and writes the stories. Previous experience with ENPS computer operating a plus. This is a position with tremendous opportunity for growth. The opening is for our morning newscast Good Morning Reno, so candidates must be willing to work an overnight shift.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Two-years prior experience and journalism degree preferred. Candidates must provide a link to resume reel of sample stories. Knowledge and experience with ENPS and Edius is a plus.
