Job Summary/Description:

Raycom Sports is seeking a qualified candidate with ten (10) years of administration experience within an Avid shared environment using Avid MediaCentral Production Management, MediaCentral Cloud UX, Nexis/Isis and Media Composer. This position will oversee day-to-day technical functionality of our post-production editing environment and supervise the flow of video assets in and out of our Telestream Diva Content Storage system.

Duties and responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
* Ability to troubleshoot basic to complex issues within the entire Avid ecosystem
* Deep understanding of using Avid MediaCentral Production as an archive and manipulating the Avid MediaCentral database
* Ability to prioritize systemic issues vs single system errors and to open and supervise cases within the Avid portal from error through resolution
* Experience with Avid MediaCentral Cloud UX
* Experience with Telestream Diva Content Storage Management
* Administrate allocation of storage space to various projects and digital archive retrieval. Work with producers to determine storage/archival needs and manage deletion of assets in a timely fashion
* Oversee archiving and metadata writing of new digital assets within the Media Central database
* Basic Microsoft OS (and MS Office) working knowledge with the ability to update and install software within a managed domain
* Strong understanding of Media Composer and the desire to help editors to become more efficient and improve on current workflows and skillset
* Ability to teach editors about MediaCentral Production Management, MediaCentral Cloud UX and how to work within these databases and interfaces
* Strong understanding of mixed raster and frame rate editing
* Overall technology expert who is interested in seeking new and improved technology and workflows that can be consulted for issues beyond the edit suites
* Must be experienced and comfortable in a PC environment
* Work with media consolidation and direct involvement with color and audio mix exports (importing/ exporting)
* Desire to implement (metadata enhancements in the future.)
Other Possible Duties:
* Budget proposal/supervision familiarity with cap ex and opex
* Experience as an editor in media composer
* Knowledge of RED footage workflows within Media Composer
* Experience with Avid to DaVinci Resolve workflow
* Network IT administration
* Experience with live production and the auxiliary needs from post to live production
* Knowledge/appreciation of Collegiate and Professional Sports

Qualifications/Requirements:
* 10+ years in post-production administration
* Avid Certified Support Representative is preferred but can make arrangements with the ideal candidate to obtain certification after hire
* Working knowledge of video workflow systems from capture to archiving
* Experience with Avid MediaCentral Production Management, MediaCentral Cloud UX, Nexis/Isis and Media Composer
* Knowledge of Media Central/Interplay database workflows. Familiarity with Interplay Capture and FastServe/Airspeed a plus
* Expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues of all kinds, including independent troubleshooting and management of support cases with product providers
* Ability to troubleshoot IT issues on tight deadlines
* Experience with Telestream Diva Content Storage Management
* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Cinema 4d animation software
* Knowledge of web file transfers, specifically Signiant's Media Shuttle
* Ability to manage video database on daily basis an instruct editors and producers on best practices
* Ability to organize files in a logical manner that can be understood by other editors on production department
* Ability to learn new IT products and workflows and teach others less with less technical sophistication
* Experience with EVS workflows. Working knowledge of file/metadata creation in live sports environments a bonus
