Job Description
Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

An employee in this classification, under the supervision of the Vice President of Sales, creates compelling stories through quantitative and qualitative research that reinforces the advertising power of WJBK and all our Digital properties. This position plays an integral role in the advertising sales department and works closely with station management and local account executives on station initiatives, and acts as a chief liaison with such vendors as Nielsen, Wide Orbit Sales and Kantar Media.

Maintain inventory in Wide Orbit Sales to be used by both the local and national sales teams for creating avails and packages and providing clients with a reach and frequency analysis of their media schedules. Create quantitative and qualitative one sheets and sales presentations to be used by both the national and local account executives for the purpose of selling advertising inventory on FOX 2 and all Digital products. Create and customize sports presentations for individual clients. Construct extensive research presentations for individual clients. Produce daily, weekly and monthly ratings tracking reports that monitor the delivery of FOX 2's programming. Participate in all Nielsen conversations and meetings regarding Detroit sample and any issues regarding Nielsen reporting. Create reports for sales management and local account executives for the purpose of monitoring the competition for potential leads and to monitor FOX 2's linear and non-linear performance in the Detroit Market. Assist the General Sales Manager with the execution of both the Political and Regular Rate Guides.

We are a fast-paced broadcast sales department. Position demands long hours and occasional after hours. In addition to the sales department personnel, the position involves interaction with other department managers. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel and Power Point. Expert level background and knowledge base in television and digital marketing including competitive media, impression calculations, estimate preparation and qualitative measurement. Must be diligent, pay strict attention to detail and be a self-starter. Minimum Bachelor's degree, and 3-5 years of research, sales or buying experience working inside a local people-metered market. Excellent written and presentation skills with the ability to attend and make sales calls with local account executives.
