Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

If you love breaking news, creative television and great storytelling, FOX 26 KRIV, the Fox O&O in Houston, has the perfect position for you. We're looking for a talented and passionate photographer-editor who can shoot and edit for a unique lifestyle and trending news show. Must be a self-starter, and multi-tasker and work well under pressure. Be able to shoot hand-held in the studio but also be able to work collaboratively in the field with a reporter/anchor. Must be a strong communicator and able to work with other members of the broadcast team. May be required in the event of breaking news and severe weather events to shoot in the field Must have familiarity with various transmission technologies including cellular backpack technology (such as Live U). Must have knowledge of non-linear editing software, Edius or a similar platform. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, and Sony cameras are a plus. May also be required to set up live remotes on their own as well as other assignments when deemed necessary. Will be required to upload video to station's social media/digital sites. Will be required to maintain all legal and journalistic standards in story development.

Bachelor's Degree in journalism or related field preferred. Experience as a photographer-editor in a medium to large market preferred. Must be able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multitask. Ideal candidate should have familiarity with newsroom computer systems. Candidate must be able to do some traveling as required. Must be able to work flexible hours; early mornings, late nights, weekends, overnights and holidays as required. Must have a valid credit card and driver's license.
