Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox13, Tampa's leading News Station and a Fox owned and operated station, is seeking a multi-skilled Assignment Editor. This is not the assignment editor job of the past. This position requires keen newsgathering and production skills on a variety of platforms. Must have solid editorial judgment; be able to develop and implement coverage plans, coordinate news crews. Create content for online and social platforms.

Candidate must possess strong social media and writing skills. Experience in tuning in satellite and bonded cellular signals a plus. Consider applying for this job if you have experience as a line producer, digital media producer or an assignment editor. Technical computer knowledge is a plus. A college degree in broadcast journalism or other related experience. Four years' experience highly preferred as an assignment editor or digital content producer in a news department.
