Virtual Production Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Freelance Virtual Production Engineer to join the team in Los Angeles. This position will be filled as a NABET 53 Union Representative.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions based on the latest virtual production technologies required to shoot real-time photorealistic virtual production scenes
• Work with, and integrate, complex hardware, video, and software solutions for virtual production, such as camera tracking
• Divide the time between software development and day-to-day production support and stage workflow management
• Oversee the overall stage operation stability and workflow operation
• Work with the engineering team to develop proprietary software systems and solutions
• Troubleshoot on-set technical issues
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other virtual production team members

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Previous experience in VFX or related production technologies
• Advanced knowledge of real-time software systems and workflows, such as Unreal Engine
• Understanding of C++, C#, and similar programming languages
• Working knowledge of source control systems such as Git, and Helix
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to troubleshoot under pressure
• Self-starter with strong communication skills
• On-set experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $19.25-23.25 per hour. We provide Freelancers medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
